“The immersion in Gran Canaria was brilliant!

We visited all sorts of places across the island – mountains, beaches, museums, even a banana farm – and had lots of opportunities to practice our Spanish. The food was incredible, too.

I really felt that my speaking skills improved throughout the week, and I felt far more confident at the end. I’d highly recommend the immersion if speaking is where you’d like to improve.”

“The immersion week in Gran Canaria was a really memorable experience.

Victoria had worked incredibly hard to create an interesting itinerary for us and we had several lovely trips, my favourites being to a stunning gorge and up into the mountains.

She had also arranged for us to have some interaction with local people as opportunities to practice Spanish.

We had teaching every day from Victoria and her friend Florence which I really enjoyed and I feel that both my enthusiasm for and ability in Spanish were improved by going.

The accommodation was very good (nice pool and lovely setting) and the town of Telde is very pretty.

I didn’t know everyone before we went but there was a very friendly supportive atmosphere."

“Victoria made the whole experience very special. She is incredibly kind and made sure we all felt comfortable and supported throughout.

I was nervous about my level beforehand, but she made everything feel relaxed and inclusive. The lessons were fun, engaging and informative.

She took us on fantastic day trips across the island, where we were introduced to the locals who were very welcoming and supportive of us practising our Spanish.

The accommodation was lovely, as was trying the traditional Canarian food, the papas arrugadas are delicious!

I would definitely recommend the immersion retreat to anyone looking to improve their Spanish in a friendly environment whilst exploring the beauty of Gran Canaria, you will have a fantastic time.”

It was a great balance of some classroom learning and lots of interesting outings.

I loved all the language experience and cultural opportunities Victoria created through her local knowledge.
